Frequently asked

We’ve been around long enough to give you the assurances you need to take the next step.
Child in orange goggles and swim cap stands under a cascade of water beside a “Learn to swim beautifully” banner.
  • What do I need to bring for lessons?
Students need a swimsuit, towel and goggles. A swim cap is required at some venues and optional at others – a fabric cap is an acceptable alternative.
  • Can I have both my children taught in 1 session?
Yes. We can pair siblings of similar age and ability in the same lesson. If their skill levels differ, we recommend separate lessons so each child gets the right support. Please contact us to arrange sibling bookings.
  • What if my child is scared of the water?
It’s completely normal to feel nervous. Our instructors are always in the pool with your child, providing hands-on support. We start with gentle float and head‑in‑water exercises, then gradually introduce simple skills. Our proven method builds confidence and makes every lesson enjoyable.
  • Can I watch my child’s lesson?
In most cases, yes! Most venues allow parents to watch from a designated viewing area – check your pool’s page for more information.
  • Is my child old enough to be in the water?
Yes – we’re excited to welcome little swimmers from age 3 into our fun, confidence‑building classes. If your child is under 3, don’t worry. Our nurturing parents and babies programme will help them grow comfortable in the water until they’re ready for the children’s lessons.
  • My child already has swimming lessons and is moving to Swimming Nature – do they need to start over?
No. We will do a pre-assessment over the phone, and in your child’s first lesson, their instructor will assess their ability across a range of swimming techniques and map them to Swimming Nature’s methodology.
