Frequently asked

We’ve been around long enough to give you the assurances you need to take the next step.
Collage of happy swimmers: two smiling girls in T‑shirts, child walking into the sea, girl floating on her back, and snorkel‑masked child under water.
  • What do I need to bring to lessons?
Students will need a swimsuit, towel, goggles and a swim cap.
  • Can I have both my children taught in one session?
Yes, we offer sibling lessons depending on age and ability. Contact us to arrange this.
  • What if my child is scared of the water?
Don’t worry! Our instructors are always in the water with your child, helping them feel safe and supported while having fun. We focus on building trust and confidence at their own pace, turning nervous swimmers into happy, confident ones.
  • Can I watch my child’s lesson?
Yes! Most venues allow parents to watch from a designated viewing area. Check your pool’s page for more information.
  • Is my child old enough to be in the water?
Yes! Babies can start lessons as early as 3 months old. For children under 3, check out our bespoke baby lessons.
  • How long are children’s lessons?
Lessons are 30 minutes long. With only two students per class, your child will get plenty of focused interaction with their instructor, making each session highly effective.
  • My child already has swimming lessons and is moving to Swimming Nature—do they need to start over?
Not at all. During your child’s first lesson, their instructor will assess their ability across a range of swimming techniques and map them to Swimming Nature’s methodology, ensuring they progress smoothly.
