Frequently asked

We’ve been around long enough to give you the assurances you need to take the next step.
Group of laughing children in goggles and caps cling to the lane rope, posing together in the pool.
  • What do I need to bring to my Squads lesson?
Students need a swimsuit, towel and goggles. A swim cap is required at some venues and optional at others – a fabric cap is an acceptable alternative.
  • My child is nervous in groups. Is Squads right for them?
Absolutely. Our Squads classes are capped at small group sizes and led by expert instructors in the water. We begin with water‑confidence exercises and build from there, so every swimmer – nervous or confident – feels supported.
  • I have a health condition. Are group lessons suitable?
Many swimmers gain huge benefit from regular time in the pool, but some conditions require extra care. If you’re unsure, please get in touch via our contact form and we’ll discuss the best way forward.
  • Can Squads help my child train for swim meets?
Yes. While our primary focus is skill progression and confidence in a group setting, advanced Squads levels incorporate stroke technique, endurance and turn work. If your child needs more bespoke competition prep, just let us know and we can arrange extra training sessions.
